Terms & Conditions

Please read prior to booking

Upon booking, or payment of any deposit, you accept these Terms & Conditions on behalf of yourself and all guests in your party. It is your responsibility to review the details in your confirmation and notify us of any errors within 48 hours of receiving your documents.

ADULTS ONLY (18+)

Nala Resort is an adults-only property. All guests must be 18 years or older. Bookings made that include anyone under 18 will be cancelled and standard cancellation fees will apply.

1. Third-Party Website Bookings

For reservations made via third-party platforms (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb), their terms and cancellation policies apply. Please refer directly to the relevant platform for details.

2. Direct Bookings

All direct bookings made via the Nala Resort website, phone or email fall under these Standard Terms & Conditions.

3. Deposits & Payments

Full payment is required at the time of booking for all reservations unless otherwise stated.

A 10% non-refundable booking fee is incurred on all reservations at the time of booking

Payments may be made via Visa or Mastercard. (American Express and Diners Club are not accepted.)

For any bookings made with deposit arrangements (if offered), the remaining balance will be automatically charged 30 days prior to arrival to the card provided at booking.

4. Cancellation Policy (Direct Bookings)

– Bookings cancelled or modified more than 30 days prior to arrival, will incur a 10% booking fee with the balance payment, being refunded to the guest.

– Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival incur a 100% cancellation fee.

– No-shows incur a 100% fee.

– Promotional or special-rate bookings are non-refundable, and modifications are not permitted.

– One date modification per booking is permitted, when outside the 30-day window.

5. Credit Card Hold / Security Authorisation

A valid credit card is required for all reservations, including bookings made directly with Nala Resort or via third-party platforms (such as Booking.com, Expedia etc). Upon check-in, a temporary pre-authorisation (hold) will be placed on the card provided. This is not a charge but a security hold on funds.

The pre-authorisation is used to cover any incidental charges including, but not limited to:

Room service or food & beverage purchases
Minibar consumption
Additional cleaning
Damage, breakages or missing items
Smoking fees
Late check-out charges

No funds are withdrawn at the time the hold is placed. The pre-authorisation amount will be released after checkout, provided no additional charges apply.

Please note:

The release timeframe depends on the guest’s bank or card issuer.
While Nala Resort releases the pre-authorisation immediately upon checkout, it may take several business days for funds to become available again.
Nala Resort is not responsible for any delays caused by the bank or card provider.

By completing your booking, you authorise Nala Resort to place this temporary hold on your credit card and, if necessary, charge the card for any outstanding balances or incidentals.

6. Group Bookings

– Bookings of 3 or more villas are considered group bookings and must be made directly with management.

– Group bookings may have additional conditions, minimum stays, or security requirements.

Whole property buyouts are permitted by arrangement.  These bookings require:

 • 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking

 • Balance due 60 days prior to arrival

– Group bookings are non-refundable, and we strongly recommend travel insurance.

7. Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in via reception: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

Self check-in is available after 6:00pm, provided all pre-arrival conditions have been met including provision of a valid credit card for security hold.

– Late check-in may be arranged in advance subject to availability.

– Check-out: 10:00am

– Late check-out (if available and not pre-arranged): $50 per hour

8. Villa Requests

Requests for specific villa numbers will be accommodatedwhen possible, but Nala Resort reserves the right to move bookings to a villa of equal or greater category without notice.

9. Rates & Inclusions

– Rates listed are per villa, per night.

– Each villa can accommodate a maximum of 2 guests and no additional guests are permitted.

– Minimum stay requirements may apply during certain seasons.

Breakfast for 2 is included in the room rate.  You may order 1 meal per person from the breakfast menu.

10. Additional Charges

Management reserves the right to charge the credit card on file for:

– Minibar consumption

– Damage to property, breakages or missing items

– Excess cleaning ($50 per hour)

– Unreturned keys ($30)

– Smoking within a villa or on resort grounds (smoking fee: $500 minimum plus additional cleaning)

Charges will be made after reasonable attempts to contact the cardholder.

11. Smoking/Vaping/Burning Policy

Nala Resort has a strict no-smoking/vaping/burning policy.  This covers both inside villas and outside anywhere on the property. The use of candles, incense or mosquito coils is not permitted.. Fees apply for any breach.

12. Behaviour & Noise

– All guests must respect the comfort and privacy of others.

– Excessive noise or antisocial behaviour may result in immediate eviction without refund.

– Noise in outdoor or shared areas must cease by 9.30pm.

Communal spaces must be left tidy between uses.

13. Early Departure

Refunds are not provided for early departure.

14. Car Parking

Parking spaces vary in size; oversized vehicles or recreational vehicles (eg boats, jetskis etc) may not fit in the dedicated bays and guests may be required to park off-site. Please contact our Reception to check availability for the parking of large vehicles prior to booking.

15. Breakages & Damage

In room damage or breakages must be reported immediately. Furniture and fixtures must not be moved between villas. Fees apply for any loss, damage, or additional time spent due to rearrangement of furniture, requiring correction.

16. Liability & Insurance

Nala Resort does not accept liability for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance.

17. No Tenancy

Regardless of length of stay, guests acknowledge that the booking does not constitute a residential tenancy agreement.

18. Force Majeure

Nala Resort is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events outside our reasonable control.

19. Privacy Policy

Nala Resort adheres to the Australian Privacy Principles. Personal information is collected, stored and used solely for the purposes of communication, booking management, and service delivery.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

21. Breach of Terms

In the event of any breach of these Terms & Conditions, Nala Resort reserves the right to:

– Charge the guest for any loss, damage or additional cleaning

– Evict the guest and/or their party immediately

– Apply any deposit or funds paid toward outstanding amounts.
